Dance like no one is watching.

Due to the fact it is Mother's Day and things are not going well as I had hoped with my children I uploaded this video of my children dancing. I am sharing a happier time for them. Don't be afraid of where you come from and remember to Dance Like No One is Watching!

It's Easter Weekend!

nullFor everyone whom believes in Easter have a great Easter Weekend! I am keeping this blog short and sweet.

Easter is supposed to be a religous holiday. Then why is it that we see so many people in the stores racing for all the candy, toys and stuffed animals? These so-called Christians have turned this into a material holiday just as they have every other holiday through out the year. I am very sickened by the disgusting display these unmoral people make each year.

Society as a whole needs to change their outlook on the way they do things. I constantly hear people asking why do children act the way they do. HELLO! They are coddled and allowed to act any way they want to act. If I had spoken or looked at my grandmother the way these kids do their very own parents I would have had my butt beat. I would have had my teeth knocked down my thoart for back talk. The government has appointed an agency to "protect" the kids and there is no one to govern that agency. Therefore they do as they wish. This same agency varies in name state to state but in each state they do the same thing. Parents are not allowed to parent without fear of this agency charging them and locking them up for spanking their children's butt.

Be a parent and choose not to particapte in this greedy ritual society has made up. Don't be scared to celebrate differently than society. Teach your children the true mean of the holidays in your religion. Don't fall into this money trap and buy the store with all the baskets, toys, candy, and bunny rabbits they want you to buy.

Top Reasons Not To Move In With Someone

Yes we all have our own strange habits but what are the deal breakers?

-talks in their sleep

-whines about anything (large or small)

-snores

-totally dedicated to one passion (Star Wars, Blades, Shirts with geeky sayings)

-talks on the phone loudly while you are watching television

-always has to say something to piss you off

-smacking….I mean come on you are not 2 yrs old anymore

And for the number one deal breaker is BAD HYGINE!

What are your pet peeves? Where do you draw the line when you live with someone?

Would You Let Your Friends Borrow Your Car?

Do you think your car is included in the clause in friendships? I know that all friends borrow things from each other but where do we draw the line?

I hear a lot of people end up with no car because they loaned it out. First, why would you loan your car to someone without checking to make sure the car is covered if it doesn't come back or comes back damaged? If you have been friends with this person for a while then you should know their driving habits! I have a few people I know that I would never get into the car with. I would never loan them my car if they were my friends.

Never ever loan your car to someone that has a wreck every few months!

What would you not loan to your friends? Do you have any friends that you would loan anything they asked?

One or More Gods?

Many people state they are Christian. They claim that is the only acceptable religion. It goes even further and many may try to convince you that their sector is the only acceptable form of worshipping your God. I believe that God takes many forms and names. Whether I say God, Allah, Abba, Alpha and Omega I am referring to the one God that exists.

Human nature is such that we were created needing a fundamental belief in a higher power. We must believe in something greater than ourselves. All humans believe they have God or a higher power that can and will help them in life. Believing in a higher power goes back to Paganism.

If you look at the Christian Holidays they are close to or on Wiccan Holidays. The most celebrated days Christmas and Easter are near the Winter and Spring Equinox. Each Equinox is celebrated by Wiccans to give thanks to the Goddess for the things that season brings. You have Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Equinox.

Beltane is a spring celebration that honors the fertility of the earth. It's a time of lust, passion, sex, fire, and abundance. Likewise Christians celebrate spring with Easter.

Samhain is known as the beginning of the New Year in many Pagan traditions. It's a time to honor our ancestors, celebrate the memories of the dead, and embrace the darker half of the year. For many Pagans, it's a season of reflection, divination, and spiritual growth. Samhain is October 31st also known as All Hallow's Eve in Christian faiths. All Saint's Day is November 1st.

Yule marks the winter solstice, and is a time to celebrate the return of the sun back to the earth. This is also the time of year that Christmas is celebrated by Christians.

This is true because when Christians attempted to convert Native Americans and Pagans they wanted to make them feel comfortable with the holidays.

Great Wolf Lodge – Grapevine, TX

First, I want to apologize for not blogging for a few days. I have been away with the family at this great little gem in Grapevine, TX called Great Wolf Lodge. If you haven't heard of this resort, click on the link above to see the expansive array of activities for children of all ages.

I came across this dream getaway location last December. From the waterpark to the arcade you can keep the kids busy all day long. I have three children ranging in ages from 7-12. The indoor waterpark has several big enclosed slides that wind in and out of the building before you land in the splash pool. One is for the entire gang and it will even make a memento of the ride with a picture you can purchase. You can keep the kids running with the huge water fort. The fort has several slides, activities and a huge bucket that tips and pours down on all the kids when it is full. There is also a wave pool and a pool that has basketball goals and even a walk for the kids to cross that moves in the water. One entire area is designed with the little guys in mind. They have a smaller fort, slides, fountains, and "jet skis" that spray water when they press the handle. There is a family hot tub as well. Most important there is an adult only hot tub.

Aside from the water park there is the Magiquest game that is a hotel wide scavenger hunt for all the children. Also kids of all ages can find fun in the arcade. A stuffing station gives exciting choices for a stuffed animal and outfit or hoodie to remember their stay by. Nightly you take your little wolves to the lobby for story time and a photo opportunity.

Tell me your favorite childhood memory from a getaway.
